Today, we're going to take a look at the replacement lead leg for the Keystone Montana fifth wheel landing gear. Now, this part will replace the OEM lead leg for the Keystone Montana fifth wheel landing gear.Now, the Keystone Montana fifth wheel uses a unique custom landing gear system from Lippert, and it's designed to only fit the Lippert frame on the Montana RV. This is the lead leg for that landing gear system. This part will include the landing gear lead leg, and the snap pin on the bottom here. It's very easy to install, with minimal assembly required.I'll give you a few dimensions on this. The outer tube overall length, just going to measure top to bottom, of 29 and a half inches.
The width on it is going to be two and a half inches by two and a half inches. It does have three weld stops on it. There's an upper weld stop, a middle one, and a lower weld stop. Going to give you some dimensions on that. So, if we measure from the top of the upper weld stop to the bottom of the middle weld stop, it's going to be 17 and a half inches.
If it goes to the bottom of the lower weld stop, it's 21 and a half inches. And then, if we measure from the bottom of the upper weld stop to the top of the middle weld stop, it's 15 and a half inches, and to the top of the lowest weld stop is 19 and a half inches.But that should do it for the review on the replacement lead leg for the Keystone Montana fifth wheel landing gear.

Replaces the OEM lead leg for Keystone Montana fifth wheel landing gear.Really pleased with the time it took to get the landing gear lead leg. I ordered it on Tues and received it Thursday. Was easy to install and fit perfectly. Worked perfectly and now back in business with 5th wheel.
The lead landing gear stripped on my 5th wheel RV while trying unload from the truck. I called e-tailer and Gwendolyn assisted me in finding the right replacement part. She also expedited the order and shipping, and the part arrived the next day. Her follow-up emails kept me abreast of the status of the order. It was the correct part and matched perfectly. I can't say enough about the great customer service I received from Gwendolyn and e-trailer.
Excellent, lead landing leg was a perfect fit for my 2006 Keystone Montana RK 3295. Removal and replacement can be done by one person. Be sure to jack and block the replacement side or leave it on the truck.
The packaged arrived in a very short time from the date it was ordered.
When I went to install this leg it did not fit the mounting brackets on my 5th wheel. i lined up with the catch locking tabs on the leg, I had to grind a 1/16 of an inch off the middle lower tab so it would catch the top tab correctly. And this leg was strictly for a keystone montana.
Other than that it fit fine and works nice and smoothly.
Sturdy leg, great replacement. The only downside is I think these are geared different than the factory ones because they move at about 1/2 speed as the original ones. No worries though... I am camping, not in no hurry!
I received the first jack, it was put together wrong or something. I called and then sent pictures you said I did receive the wrong jack. You gave me a 5% discount so I then ordered a jack for the other side of my camper. I received both jacks and installed them. Everything is working well!
The new landing gear fit like the original and was easy to install
When I first installed the landing gear, it functioned well. After one retraction the lower portion (sliding part attached to foot) will not smoothly retract and extend, up and down from the unit. A rubber hammer must be used to make it work.
Replaced on a 2008 Keystone Montana. Works well, the only thing I had to do was grind a little excess metal from one of the notches as it did not line up exactly.

The item was delivered on time as promised (thanks Kim). Easy take off and replacement. This item came with the third leg which I wasn't expecting. My Montana Mountaineer didn't have the three bump outs that this leg has. Mine old leg had two like the LG179013 has. That one may have worked for me. Happy with the purchase anyway.
