Hello, everybody. This is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today, we'll take a look at this replacement gear box for the Venture aluminum electric fifth-wheel RV landing gear assemblies. Now this part here, we're replacing damaged gear box on the Venture universal-mount fifth-wheel RV landing gear assemblies. This will also work with most other brands of landing gear, including Atwood, Lippert, and Stromberg-Carlson. It is very easy to install with minimal assembly.
Does include the collar and the screw for insulation. It is an aluminum construction and it is for a quantity of one replacement gear box. But that should do it for the review under replacement gearbox for the Venture aluminum electric 5th wheel RV landing gear assemblies..

This gearbox was exactly what I needed. I have used that trailer several times and the jacks lift. The trailer just fine. If my memory is correct, it came packaged well, and shipping was quick
Aluminum Gearbox works much better than the former plastic one
The original equipment landing gear gearbox on my 30.5' 5th wheeler was made of a plastic-like material. It eventually stripped out and the little extensions that held it in place and kept it from twisting wore off. The replacement part from etrailer is an upgrade to aluminum. It fit perfectly in place of the original with no alterations. It works smoothly and I have confidence in this aluminum gearbox doing the job for years to come.
I was able to search for my problem, and Etrailer has other testimonies like mine that told me this was the right part. I had a plastic gearbox for my venture landing gear motor, and the plastic housing gave way and caused the gears to skip. This gearbox was an exact replacement, but was an aluminum housing that I feel will last much longer than the plastic housing did.

This gear box is well built and was easy to change out. Easy upgrade at a reasonable price.
Gear box worked great. It was the legs that was the problem. Replaced the legs with the bulldog individual leveling and everything is working great.
Fit like a glove and is a perfect upgrade or replacement to the old plastic one.

Still going strong, taken a handful of trips and moved trailer around in the yard with no issues. Raises and lowers as it should.

Perfect gearbox replacement for when the original went bad. It took me an hour one evening to manually extend and retract the landing gear to get my 5th wheel off my truck. I ordered this replacement and installed it in less than an hour. Now my landing gear works great!
Much better quality that the factory plastic version. Easy install. Price, availability of in stock and delivery were exception
Product was a perfect fit and excellent replacement for the factory plastic design. It has functioned flawlessly since installation. By the way installation was very simple and completed in less than 15 minutes.

Gearbox is still working great after one year of use. The replacement seems to be stronger than the plastic gearbox installed at the factory.
I needed a gearbox replacement for my Atwood electric landing gear. Atwood is no longer in business. I went to my local RV dealer in Edmonton, Alberta where I bought my 2005 5th wheel and they basically told me Atwood doesn't exist any more so good luck. I contacted etrailer.com and Jenny found a Ventura gearbox for me right and away and had it delivered in just over a week (would have been quicker but I chose the cheapest shipping method). Once I removed the old gearbox I realized the gearbox was fine, the problem was with the driver shaft so I reached out to Jenny once again. Turned out Jenny was out of the office but that didn't stop etrailer.com from trying to help me. They contacted Lippert and got me the Lippert replacement part # and provided me with their phone number. How impressive is that! etrailer.com goes above and beyond. They know what customer service is about. As it turned out when I phoned Lippert they told me they still have the driver shaft part number in their inventory however the driver shaft is now obsolete with no replacements shafts being manufactured. I emailed etrailer.com to thank them for their assistance and told them I "struck out" at Lippert. Even at this point they tried to find the part elsewhere but unfortunately to no avail. I highly recommend etrailer.com. Great company!
Lippert landing gear gearbox is still working perfectly after one year. God bless.

Worked fine, seems much stronger then plastic one I replaced that had a crack
Etrailer is my go to vendor. Excellent service, prompt delivery and good follow up.
Installed fairly easy. When I removed the original I disassembled to inspect failure. Lack of lubrication in the original. I disassembled the new one, drilled and tapped hole to install grease fitting near gears, assembled, greased and installed. Very quiet and works very well
