So here's what our trailer hitch receiver looks like installed. As you can see here we have a nice sturdy collar around the outside. We also have a nice black powder coated finish. That's going to do a great job of protecting our hitch from rust and corrosion. It's also going to have what is known as a hidden design. more

This trailer hitch is going to be a great option if you're needing to, let's say, add a bike rack or a cargo carrier just to free up that extra space in your vehicle. This would be a great choice for that. Also, it does have the capacity to tow a small trailer as well.So whenever you're adding accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, this can accept a tongue weight rating of up to 300 pounds, so that would mean the carrier or rack plus the load that it's going to be carrying. Also, it can accommodate a towing trailer weight capacity of 3,500 pounds. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, I'm Ryan and here at each etrailer, we install, test-fit and review a lot of different parts, that way we can try to answer any questions that you guys might have. That's exactly what we're doing on our 2020 Hyundai Kona today. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT Class 1 trailer hitch receiver. Right off the bat, my first impression is I think the hitch is actually going to look pretty good. It's really not all that noticeable. The only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening here and since the rest of the hitch is up under the car, you're not going to have to worry about a big bar hanging down or anything like that, which it's always nice to be able to maintain more of a factory look.Now with these Konas, they're not huge cars so having a trailer hitch is going to allow you to use some accessories, that way you can help free up some space on the inside. more

Connor: Hey everyone, Connor here today at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver for our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. So our Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch here is going to be an excellent option for our Palisade. It's going to have the larger 2" receiver tube opening, which is going to allow us with a much greater variety of accessories to choose from, such as bike racks or cargo carriers.Now, if we want to use the trailer hitch for towing, we can certainly do that as well, with its class three rating. This class three rating is going to provide us with a 5,000 pound gross trailer weight rating, that's going to be how much we can pull on our fully loaded trailer. And it's going to have a 500 pound tongue weight rating, which is going to be the downward force on the receiver tube. more

Rob: How's it going, everybody Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2013 Hyundai Tucson. Now I like the way our hitch looks because the cross tube's going to be hidden behind the bumper, for the most part, and the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. It's not going to be this big bar hanging off the bottom of our Tucson, it really is pretty well hidden. Now it is a class II, so it is going to give us that 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube opening and be great for some bike racks or some of those smaller cargo carriers.The hitch is going to accept a standard 1/2" pin and clip. Now these are not going to come with the hitch, but you can pick them up here separately at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure and anti-rattle devices to cut down on that annoying rattling sound from the accessory moving inside the receiver tube.Now, if you do plan on doing some towing, there's a few things to keep in mind. Our hitch here is made specifically for a certain drawbar and that is sold separately. more

Now these aren't going to come with the hitch, but you can pick it up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure, or anti-rail devices to cut down on that annoying rattling sound we hear from the back of the receiver tube when we're driving.Now if you are going to be doing some towing, you need a spot to hook up your safety chains. more

Your Hyundai Palisade's going to be a very capable vehicle that's going to handle pretty much all the tasks that you're going to want out of it, and so will this hitch. Now many questions our customers ask us is if they're going to be able to put their spare tire back after that hitch is on, and the answer is yes, you won't have any issues at all.Now this is a Class 2 hitch so it's going to have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. This is going to work perfectly for you, especially if you already have those inch and a quarter accessories. Today you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to walk you through the installation on the Draw-Tite class I trailer hitch receiver on your 2011 Hyundai Sonata.Adding a hitch to your vehicle is going to make your vehicle a lot more versatile. It's going to allow you to move cargo from inside the vehicle to the outside. Maybe you're putting on a cargo carrier or maybe a bike rack and you don't want to carry your bikes inside to make more room for your passengers. Another benefit to adding a hitch to your vehicle is when you're loading your cargo carrier or loading your bikes onto the bike rack, if it's on the hitch you're not going to have to have lift it as high. If you had it on a roof rack, that's a lot higher and you're going to have to lift those items to get them either in your cargo carrier or to put your bikes up on the rack.One thing to keep in mind is with this being a class I hitch you're going to be limited to up to a two-bike bike rack, which brings me to the weight capacities. more

Today on our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III custom fit trailer hitch receiver. So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It's pretty much going to be hidden behind the bumper, and when we have the cover off, all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. What was really unique and nice is the fact that we can actually replace that cover so that our vehicle will look completely stock and we're not going to have anything distracting or taking away from the looks of our Santa Fe.Our hitch is going to give us a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, so we're going to really wide variety of options when it comes to accessories that we can mount up. Today on this 2018 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite inch and a quarter Hitch Receiver.This is what the hitch looks like when installed on our Tucson. You'll notice it sits right up below the bumper here. Let's take a closer look. We have our inch and a quarter receiver opening right here which is very popular for a lot of accessories that are out there. So we use a half inch diameter hitch pin or a locking hitch pin, and also on the plates here for your safety chains, which is more than adequate for small trailers, this is perfect to pull.Couple of other details is that there is a reinforcement around the edge of our hitch right here at the opening. With this brand, that tells you it's always going to be a Class II receiver hitch. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Hyundai Sonata we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C11402. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing that's nice about this hitch is that it is tucked up nice and tight against our fascia and doesn't stick out past it, so when we're loading cargo into our trunk we don't have to worry about running our shin into it.On the side of our receiver you'll find our industry standard 1/2 inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure your hitch mounted accessories with a pin and clip. We have those available separately on our website. Welded on the bottom is our plate-style safety chain loop area. What's nice about these is that they do have a decent size opening so even if you have a somewhat large hook in your trailer, if you plan on towing a trailer with your Sonata you'll still easily be able to hook up the chain to it.On the end of our receiver we have this collar that's welded on. more

It becomes visible just inside this second air foil, kind of on both sides. Now what's great about this hitch is that it's completely hidden behind our rear fascia.The only part that you see hanging down is the 1 1/4 receiver opening itself. One nice feature about it as well is that it's tucked up behind our fascia so when we're loading cargo into our hatch area we don't have to worry about running our legs into the receiver. Part number 24965.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed, you can see the receiver tube is noticeable down at the bottom of the bumper fascia. However, it does sit up there nice and tight against the bottom of the bumper fascia and it fits nicely with the contour of the vehicle.This is going to be a Class 1 hitch, so it's only going to accept Class 1 accessories. It's going to be an 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube, your hitch pin hole is going to be 1/2" in diameter. It's going to have rolled steel style safety chain loops, gives you plenty of room for different size safety chain hooks.Now, you're going to have a 200 pound max tow weight, which is downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube. You're going to have a 2000 pound max trailer weight, which is the trailer plus the load included. more

As you can see the cross bar's hidden beneath the bumper, so you're really only going to be able to see the receiving tube and the safety chain loops. This is a class three two inch by two inch receiver. And, it's going to be great for just about all your needs. From bike racks, cargo carriers, and especially ball mounts for towing.It has a 525 pound tongue weight, which is the force going down on top of the receiver, and a 3,500 pound gross towing capacity, that's how much it can pull behind it. Now, it is not recommended to use a weight distribution system with this hitch.It is recommended by Curt to use a stabilization strap when hauling any non trailer loads. more

This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed in the vehicle. As you can see most of it's hidden up behind the bumper, and you can really only see the receiving tube and safety chain loops.It's a class two, one and a quarter inch by one and a quarter inch receiver, so this is going to be great for bike racks, cargo carriers, and for light towing. It has a 350 pound tug rate, which is the force going down on top of the receiver, and a 3500 pound gross towing capacity, which is how much that it can pull behind it.Now, you do want to take your vehicle's owner's manual to ensure that you're not exceeding its towing capacities. Curt also recommends that you use a stabilization strap when hauling any non-trailer loads. This is essentially anything without wheels. more
