This brake controller has all the features of a premium proportional brake controller but doesn't have the giant mess underneath your dash with your typical brake controllers. You've got a large control module box and everything's inside that box there and you mount it here on the lower parts of your dash. And I'm a pretty tall guy. When I'm getting in, in and out of the vehicle my knees often bump on those. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha P3 Prodigy Trailer Brake Controller, here on a 2018 Honda Pilot. So this is what our brake controller looks like installed on our vehicle here. Now, we do have some freedom in regards to mounting, but the best place and I would say the vast majority of the time we're gonna be mounting them about where our right knee would be. So at the seat in a normal position at my foot on the brake and the gas here, as you can see, I'm about six foot. I still have plenty of room here with my leg. more

Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
Hey, everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller here on a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. So, this is what our brake controller looks like installed. Now, this may be a little bit different than what you're normally used to for brake controllers, because this particular unit actually installs in between the trailer connector on the vehicle and the trailer connector for the trailer. So, most other brake controllers are gonna have a physical device mounted in your dash, which is definitely gonna take up some leg room, and it also requires drilling. The Curt Echo, however, is gonna be a nice, neat, contained package which installs in line between your trailer connectors. So, I would say, aside for instances where you're towing every day, the Curt Echo is gonna be a great brake controller for you. more

Now this is what our brake controller looks like when it's installed. It is a quick release bracket so you can easily slide it out of there if you want to remove this. Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2016 BMW X5- Video
Hi there BMW owners, today in your 2016 BMW X5 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Redarc's trailer brake controller. In addition to that, we're also going to be using Roadmaster's universal stoplight switch to get this installed. Blue is gonna indicate that we're in the proportional mode but there's also a user control mode available which makes it act more similar to like a time delay module. The user control mode is mainly for when you're off road because if you're in some slick muddy conditions when you hit the brakes in your vehicle and you start to slide the inertia sensor may not detect that you're stopping 'cause you're still going forward not really slowing down so it won't even attempt to apply your trailer brakes. In user control, it is going to apply those brakes regardless 'cause it's not working off proportional mechanism so it can help you stop in those slicker conditions like that. The knob does let you adjust the output of the unit from zero to 10, with 10 being the maximum brake output and you can also press down on the button to activate it just like you would the manual slide on any other brake controller. more

Instructor Today in our 2006 Land Rover Range Rover we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy RF wireless trailer brake controller for one to three axles. To help us in our installation we're going to be using the universal installation kit for trailer brake controllers with a seven way RV and four way flat connector, part number ETBC7. Our product GRF is going to be a great solution to put a brake controller inside your car without having to deal with a whole lot of wiring or hard wiring everything and tapping into the brake system. Since our Land Rover has a sophisticated electrical system and most likely we're not going to be able to tap into the brakes to put a traditional style braking system in, our Prodigy is going to be a great solution. We're only going to have to run one wire to the back of a seven way at the back of our vehicle to supply power. And then everything else is going to be wireless. more

Hey everyone, January etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2015 Subaru Forester and I wanna walk through how to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. Now, in order to get that installed on this vehicle we're also gonna have to install the ETBC7. When we're thinking about is putting a brake controller on a vehicle, especially for a vehicle like this the Subaru Forester probably does not have a very high tow capacity. So you can see here. This is a, probably about as big as it's gonna get for towing a trailer with brakes on it. more

Hey guys, how's it going Conner here today at etrailer.com we're gonna be taking a look at the REDARC Tow Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller here for our 2013 Ford Explorer. The REDARC Tow Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller is gonna be an excellent option here for our Ford Explorer. Number one benefits we have of the REDARC Tow Pro Elite is we don't have to have some sort of bulky brake controller mounted during the knee of our dash, like we would for the standard brake controller like we see here. Now, if we we're to mount this here it's obviously gonna cut some leg room away, whereas the Tow Pro Elite it's gonna be composed of two components, we have the control knob which is a very small cylinder knob here which is the only part that's gonna be installed on the outside of our dash here. The other part is a control module, that's gonna be installed behind our dash out of sight. So our Tow Pro Elite Brake Controller is gonna be an excellent option, not only in regards to mounting but also in regards to functionality. more

Today on our 2007 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the red arc tow pro elite proportional trailer brake controller for one to three axles, now to help us in our installation, We're going to be using the universal mounting panel for our red arc tow pro brake controller, remote head. And that's going to be part number 331-TPSI-001 So here's where our tow pro elite brake controller looks like once we have it installed it's going to be an extremely compact unit. And all we're going to see is the knob with the led light right here. This is going to be a great solution to the traditional style brake controller which typically do take up a decent amount of space and they do get kind of cumbersome where they may interfere with your legs while you're driving. Now, you'll notice that we have a blue led indicator light that's on right by our knob. And that's going to let us know that our trailer is connected but when we don't have a trailer connected there's not going to be a light on at all. more

So with our break controller whenever we are towing anything behind our vehicle it is proportionally going to distribute that breaking pressure from our vehicle to our trailer. The benefits of choosing this bit break controller are going to be it is going to provide a nice smoother driving experience and it also is going to be a lot safer and stress free on your vehicle as well whenever you're towing that extra weight behind it. So what the Redarc Tow Pro elite it is a very compact small package, it allows us to put our wiring and the main unit underneath the dash. And that way we aren't hitting our knees or accidentally adjusting or possibly damaging our controls here as you can see. It does make it nice and easy because you can access it here close to your steering wheel and that's going to help if you happen to need to use the manual override. more

Hey everybody today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Curt echo mobile brake controller. Here on our 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. So the first step of our installation we're gonna take our brake controller here. We're gonna come to the rear of our pickup here, find our trailer connector. We're gonna flip open the lid for the seven way portion. We'll make sure the tab on our brake controller is facing up. more

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller here on our 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 So the first step of our installation. We`re gonna take our brake controller we`re gonna come to the rear of our pick-up here find your trailer connector we`re gonna flip open the lid for the seven way portion we`ll make sure the tab on our brake controller is facing up, and then we can simply insert it into the trailer connector pushing it down to make sure it is secure And if the brake control has power, we should see a flashing blue light that lets us know that we don't have a trailer connected I`ll also like to point out that on the particular model you receive you`re going to get a stability strap your safety strap, whatever you want to call it. It basically is just an extra measure of security it wraps around the brake controller and lid on our seven way to give you a little bit of a tighter fit. So now with our brake controller plugged in we`re just gonna grab the seven way on our trailer open the lid on the brake controller and we`ll just press that in there nice and firmly and if everything was done correctly and it recognizes the trailer, we should see a flashing green light. So once we have our trailer plugged in we`re gonna come back inside the vehicle here and you`ll first need to download the Curt Echo App. more

We're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller here on our 2019 Toyota Highlander.This is the screen we're going to get when we have our trailer connected here. What we can do is we can go ahead and adjust our power. We can do this with the gain settings on the left-hand and right-hand side of the controller. This is pretty much going to be geared towards our specific trailer and how much weight we have or how much we're hauling. more

So with our brake controller whenever we are towing anything behind our vehicle, it is proportionally going to distribute that braking pressure from our vehicle to our trailer. The benefits of choosing this brake controller are going to be, it is going to provide a nice, smoother driving experience and it also is going to be a lot safer and stress free on your vehicle as well whenever you're towing that extra weight behind it.So what the REDARC Tow-Pro Elite it is a very compact small package. It allows us to put our wiring and the main unit underneath the dash, and that way we aren't hitting our knees or accidentally adjusting or possibly damaging our controls here as you can see. It does make it nice and easy because you can access it here close to your steering wheel, and that's going to help if you happen and you need to use the manual override. more

Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2019 Ford F-150- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going today We're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 trailer brake controller here on our 2019 Ford F150. We do offer it with the included brake controller adapter you needed. If you already have the P3 however, and you don't have this harness, the harness can be purchased separately as well as obviously the brake controller. So the Prodigy P3 is going to allow us to tow a trailer with brakes. We will have to have a fully functioning seven way trailer connector, but once we have that, all we'll need is a brake controller, and then we'll be able to control the brakes on a trailer. So the contract Prodigy P 3 is going to be a top of the line brake controller option. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. We're going to be installing this in conjunction with the Redarc Plug-and-Play wiring adapter harness. So right off the bat, I will say, I am a really big fan of the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite, and that's really due to the size of it. And it's very small, and with this model, compared to some of the older versions, they made it even smaller. So it's really going to give us a ton of options on where and how we want to mount this up. more

Number one, we have a time delay brake controller, and number two, we have a proportional brake controller, which is what our Voyager is. This is available in the kit with the brake controller. It's also available separately from the brake controller. In regards to trailer brake controllers, there's really two main types. You have a proportional brake controller and you have a time delay brake controller.Time delay brake controllers are a little bit older technology, and as the name states, it isn't an instant-on with our trailer brakes. more

So our Curt echo brake controller is going to be an excellent option here for our Jeep Gladiator. Now, one of the number one things I really like about this brake controller, it's wireless, therefore we don't have to have an actual physical device with us when we're inside the cab. Everything is going to be controlled with our phone. Therefore, we don't have to drill into the dash on our brand new vehicle to mount a controller and we don't have to worry about banging our knees on it. more
