Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2019 Chevrolet Express van. Now our class three hitch is going to be a good general purpose hitch. We're going to be able to tow with it and use a lot of other accessories because it is going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. So it is going to have the widest variety of options when it comes to accessories to mount up. Obviously tow trailer, maybe we could take some friends with us, put a bike rack in there, take some bikes with us, hit the trail, or possibly just make more room on the inside of our van, and use a cargo carrier to move that gear to the outside. more

Now right off the bat, since this hitch does have the smaller inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, this is going to be a great choice for those of you that primarily plan on just using hitch mounted accessories. Things like a bike rack or cargo carrier, especially if you already have some accessories that are the same size, you're going to be able to use them and match up perfectly.One thing I do really like about the hitch is that for the most part, it's going to be completely hidden. Really, the only thing you're going to be able to see is this receiver tube opening here. And since the hitch does sit nice and tight against the bottom of our Equinox, it's going to give us some pretty good ground clearance too. more

So right away, probably the main thing that separates this hitch apart from some of the others is that it's going to be a little less visible. Really the only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening. But at the same time, it's really going to depend on how you're looking at it.If you're looking at your car directly from the back, this is the only thing you're going to be able to see. But if you're looking at it from the side, this one does have a lot longer of a receiver tube, so that's going to be a little more noticeable compared to the ones that are more visible that hang down and have a shorter receiver tube.Many of our Equinox customers use their SUV's to do a little bit of everything. more

So now on our 2020 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class III 2-Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now the main difference with this hitch compared to some of the other ones out there is that this one is going to be for the most part completely visible. You're going to be able to see the cross tube as well as your receiver tube opening, but the cross tube does sit pretty far underneath the bumper and holds up pretty tight against the bottom of it, so it's really not going to be all that noticeable or at least stand out all that much.Now if you're looking for something that's completely hidden, there is a hitch available that sits behind the bumper. You would take this little access panel off and your receiver tube opening would be behind it, but at the end of the day it's really just your personal preference and what you're looking for as far as the appearance goes.And one of the things I really like about this hitch is how easy it's going to be to get to whenever you need to use it. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Rob: Everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2020 Chevrolet Traverse.Now our hitch is actually going to be behind this panel right here, so when we're not towing, we can have a really clean factory look for our Traverse, we're not going to have a big old hitch sticking out. But when we do want to use it, we just loosen up the two knobs here on the bottom, and pull the panel out, and we'll have access to our hitch, we can put any kind of hitch mounted accessories in there.But then we need to make room on the inside of our Traverse, we have cargo carrier back here, loaded up with gear, making more room. Or if we want to hit the trails, we could put a bike rack in there, carry some bikes with us, or clearly we can use the hitch to tow a trailer.Now our hitch is going to be a Class III, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and have the widest variety of accessories available that we can mount up. Now regardless of what kind of accessory you're going to be using, they're all going to mount the hitch pin hole here on the side. Our hitch is going to accept a standard inaudible 00:01:07 pin and clip. Now these are not going to come with the hitch, but you can find them here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure, or anti rattle devices to cut down on that rattling noise when we're driving down the road.But if you are going to be towing a trailer, you need a spot to hook up your safety chains and here it's going to be a loop style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. more

The crosstube is going to be visible down below the bumper, but it's tucked back pretty nicely, so for the most part you're really only going to notice the receiver here at the back. It uses a 1/2" hitch pin and clip. Now, one doesn't come included with the hitch, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. Located behind it, we have plate-style safety chain loops here at the bottom with a very large opening that should accommodate just about every shape, size and style of safety chain.It features a 200 pound tongue weight, and that's the force going down on top of the receiver. more

When we're not using it, we're not even going to be able to tell it's there, but if we come down to the bottom, and you turn these two tabs, then we can pull it out and that's going to expose our hitch. Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver.Now this is going to be a great option for you, say, if your truck doesn't already have a hitch on it. Or if it does, and it's rusty, getting worn out, this'll be a great alternative for replacement or even an upgrade.One thing I did notice, and I really like is that the end of our receiver tube it's going to come out pretty much flush with the edge of our bumper. Not only is that going to be great for those folding accessories, but it's also going to be really easy to use too. For example, a ball mount or anything else that you want to put in your hitch.Now, one of the things that I do like compared to some of the other ones, is the actual look of the hitch itself. I really liked the round tube, and in my opinion, I think it kind of just blends in a little bit better and looks nicer on the back of our Colorado.Now, since this is a class three hitch it's going to have that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and it's also going to have a reinforced collar for extra strength. more

Now even though it is a Class 4, it's going to give us a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, so we're going to have a really wide variety when it comes to accessories that we can mount out.Now obviously, on here we have a work van, so we're very capable of putting a ball mount in there, towing a trailer, but at the same time if we need to make some room on the inside, we could put a cargo carrier in there. Or maybe on the weekend, we just want to take a day trip with our friends, we could put a bike rack in there. But regardless of how we're going to be using our hitch, all the accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now our hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now these are not going to be included with the hitch, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices and anti-rattle devices to make sure your accessories are secure, and we don't have that annoying rattling sound when we're going down the road.Now if you are towing a trailer, you're going to need a spot to hook up your safety chains. more
