We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the B&W OEM Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch here for our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. So here's what our fifth wheel hitch is going to look like when we have it installed in the truck bed. It's going to be specific to models that have the OEM fifth wheel prep package, which is going to be the four outlier pucks and then the center gooseneck hitch ball opening.This particular hitch here is going to fit directly into those pucks without any additional adapters needed. So we're not going to have to worry about extra parts or lifting extra items. It's going to fit flush onto the pucks here. more

So this is a sturdy hitch for you to use with your 5th wheel trailer and this utilizes the puck system or the OEM rail system in your Ford trucks. It works for the 2011, through the current model year of your Ford F250, 350 and 450 for the long bed. If you do have a short bed truck, it's better to use a slider or something else that's going to accommodate for that close quarters or the close clearances for the short bed trucks. Reese Universal Base Rails Review- Video
Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Universal Base Rails for fifth wheel trailer hitches. Now just to give you guys an idea on how the rails actually look and work I went ahead and dropped in our fifth wheel. Now the great thing about these rails is that they're going to work with many different types of fifth wheels as you can see here.Now with the fifth wheel out of the way we can take a better look at the rails themselves. Now the rails are going to have three openings here on each side, and that's going to work with most common fifth wheel hitches because that's where those hitches actually drop into place.Now these are made out of steel and they're really heavy duty and should last a long time. Now I do understand some accidents can happen, and say your rails get worn out, it's not a huge deal because you can actually pick these rails up separately and not have to worry about getting the whole kit, and same thing with the frame brackets made out of steel, really thick and well-made. more

Rob: Hey, everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Reese underbed rail and installation kit on our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Now our Reese underbed rail kit is going to allow us to mount up a fifth wheel but also have a fully open bed when we're not towing. Most this wheels are going to require to have rails inside the bed, which they don't stick up that high, but they are going to stick up about an inch or two, which means we really don't have a flat surface in our bed anymore. But as you can see, there's no rails on top of our bed because they're all underneath and our fifth wheel is just going to slide right into these puck systems and then the plugs here are going to make sure that whenever we are hauling something in the bed, maybe we picked up a load of mulch, we got some rock back here, it's going to make sure that it doesn't fall inside the pucks and get all dirty and then the ring on the outside just really gives it that finished look.It almost has a factory look to it if you we're to see a truck that has the prep package in it. This is probably the closest thing you can get as an aftermarket option to have that puck system in your bed. more

Today, I'm going to walk you through how to install the Reese Universal Base Rails and a Quick Install Custom Bracket Kit on our 2019 Ford F250.This is what our base rails are going to look like in the bed of our truck. You can see they're really not going to take up a whole lot of space. They're only going to stick up about an inch and a half. So, they're really not going to come up too high. Not really going to interfere with anything. more

Now this is going to be a very unique system to haul your fifth wheel trailer down the road with using your fifth wheel rails, but this is going to be a much lighter weight fifth wheel hitch than the typical fifth wheel hitch that you'll see out there. A lot of times it makes it difficult to take that fifth wheel hitch out of your rails. It's pretty heavy. You have to get a second person to even get it out of there and a lot of times people just end up leaving it in their truck and then they're kind of limited as far as how much stuff they can really haul in the back of their bed with that fifth wheel hitch in the way. more
