Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Honda Fit - Curt- Video

Today on our 2016 Honda Fit we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CURT class one trailer hitch receiver, part number C11406. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it still maintains a pretty clean look underneath the vehicle, doesn't really take away from it at all. Here you can also see that it should give us plenty of clearance for any bike racks or cargo carriers that we may want to mount to this, because it comes close but not all the way out to the rear of the bumper. Here we've got the 1/2" hitch pinhole in order to secure anything that we may put into our receiver tube. We've got the flat plate-style safety chain loops with the cutout holes in them. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Honda Odyssey - Curt- Video

Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III, which is a 2-inch receiver, part number C13068. Now, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on your vehicle. As you can see here, we've got a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening with a reinforcement collar around it. We've got a 5/8-inch hitch pinhole right here. We've got the steel plate that's welded to the bottom side with the holes for your safety chains. As you can see here on this cross frame, it's got a black powder coat finish that helps give it superior rust and corrosion protection. There's no drilling or welding required in order to install this hitch. It uses 4 existing weld nuts and 1 carriage bolt to fish wire it into place. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Honda Odyssey - Draw-Tite 36417- Video

Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey we'll be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver, which is a class two hitch with a 1-1/4" opening, part number 36417. Something that's particularly nice about this hitch is the ease of the install, because you simply have two weld nuts on either side for you to put the bolts up into, and the fact that it's an 1-1/4". If you already have those 1-1/4" accessories, then this hitch will work really well for you. Here we've also got the 1/2" hitch pinhole. Then down here, if you're doing light duty towing you've got the loops for your safety chains. Then we've also got a collar here around the receiver tube for a little extra reinforcement. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Honda Crosstour - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on our 2012 Honda Crosstour we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch, Class I, part number 24852. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. You can see it's got a nice black powder coated finish. It's going to contour to the body. You want to keep in mind that this does stick out a little bit, and that's because on this Crosstour that spare tire drops straight down, so it's got to be out enough for the spare tire to clear it, and be able to access our spare tire. It's going to have 200 pounds of tongue weight, which is going to be our downward force, and 2,000 pounds of trailer weight, which is going to be the amount it can pull. You want to check with your owner's manual, or your manufacturer, to make sure your vehicle is actually able to tow that amount of weight. It's going to be a bolt on design, no drilling required. more

As you can see we've got our round tube that's going to come across, here in the middle is the receiver tube opening, this gives us the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening. We've got a reinforcement collar around the end there, it's nice and flush. This is going to be end set on our bumper, or behind our bumper, so we won't have to worry about bumping into it. Today on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we will be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Max Frame custom fit class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part #75270. Here's what our class 3 trailer hitch is going to look like once it's installed. It's going to have a nice round tube design the full width of the back of the vehicle, tucked up underneath with a nice black gloss finish to blend in but the bottom side of the vehicle and if you're going to see it from the backside, it's going to be rather aesthetically pleasing. Maximum tongue weight capacity will be 675 pounds. Maximum towing capacity, is going to be your trailer with everything included is going to be 4,500 pounds. Now, with weight distribution your maximum tongue weight capacity will still remain the same at 675 pounds but your maximum gross vehicle weight of your trailer that your going to be towing and towing capacity will go up to 5,000 pounds. Today, on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Curt Custom Fit Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C12031. Here's what our Curt Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver is going to look like once it's installed on the back of the vehicle. It is going to have a really nice and sleek design to it, having that full width round bar design that's going to be fully welded and go with the body's shape. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Honda Pilot - Curt- Video

Today on our 2016 Honda Pilot we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the CURT Custom Fit Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is going to offer the 2" opening, it's part number C13146. Here's what our hitch looks like installed in the vehicle. As you can see, just a really narrow area where we can actually see any cosmetic change. Our main cross tube is up here behind the rear bumper, and this is one of the easier hitches that there is out there to get put on your car. We've already got existing weld nuts, we're going to use 3 bolts on each side to secure it right up to the frame rail. This is a class 3, so we've got a 2" x 2" opening, offers just a lot of options as far as accessories we want to put in there, there's lots of room around the hitch, so any of the accessories, whether you want to use a hitch pen, a hitch pen lock, anti-rattle device, regardless of what it is you're going to have enough room here to operate that. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Honda Accord - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on our 2011 Honda Accord we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite Sport Frame class one trailer hitch, part number 24899. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. The majority of our hitch is hidden nicely up underneath the vehicle. The only thing we really have exposed is our receiver tube and chain hold downs, which is one on each side. Then going all the way through the receiver tube is a 1/2" pinhole. This is our class one 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube so we've got a 200 pound tongue weight and a 2,000 pound tow capacity. Next I'll give you a couple measurements. more

Today our 2007 Honda Odyssey, we are going to install the Curt inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver number C12031. This is what the Curt trailer hitch looks like installed on your Honda Odyssey. As you can see it has a nice round tube design that connects to the side brackets and it goes from one side to another. It has a nice black powder coat finish that's going to resist rust and corrosion, and one of the best things about this hitch is you just use well nuts and one carriage bolt into the frame of your vehicle to install it. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Honda Odyssey - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on our 2007 Honda Odyssey we are going to install and take a look at the Draw-Tite Trailer Hook Receiver Class 2 with an 1-1/4" opening, part #36417. This is what our hitch looks like installed on our Honda Odyssey. As you can see, nice square tube construction, same goes to the side brackets on each side, heavy duty welds and has a nice black powder coat finish that's going to resist rust and corrosion. It has an 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" opening, class hitch and does have a 1/2" pitch pin hole. Easy access to your chain hold downs for your safety chains on your trailers. It is rated at 300 pounds of ton weight and 3500 pounds of towing capabilities. You always want to double check your manufacturer's specifications for your vehicle and you want to go with whatever is lowest between your vehicle and the hitch. more

Here's what the hitch looks like once you get it installed. It's a nice, soft round tube. It cuts off sharply right at the end so you don't have a full width kind of a look behind you. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Honda Accord - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on our 2014 Honda Accord we're going to review and install Draw-Tite class one 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 24899. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. We've got a nice square crosstube design and a fully welded construction. The entire hitch has a nice black powder-coated finish and is a 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube, along with the pre-drilled 1/2" pinhole that goes all the way through the receiver tube. This hitch is capable of up to 200 pounds of tongue weight and 2,000 pound tow capacity. Next I'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 1-1/2". more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Honda CR-V - Curt 13555- Video

Today on our 2011 Honda CRV, we're going to review and install our Curt Class 3 2 Inch Receiver Tube Hitch part number 13555. Now here is what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, the solid steel fully wielded construction with a nice black powdered coated finish. We've got a nice stylish round tube as our hitch is exposed but it's tucked up underneath the rear face nicely. The only thing really sticking out but not out pass the rear bumper is our receiver tube 5/8 predrilled pin holes and our chain hole downs. This is our class 3 hitch with a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Honda CR-V - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on our 2012 Honda CRV we're going to review and install Draw-Tite class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 75742. Now here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, we got a nice round crosstube design with a fully welded construction and a nice black powder-coated finish. That's tucked up nicely underneath the vehicle and the only thing really exposed is our class three 2" by 2" receiver tube, 5/8 pre-drilled pinhole going through the receiver tube, and then a 1/2" hole that's designed for an anti-rattle bolt. Then we have our chain hold downs on each side. This hitch is capable up to 520 pounds of tongue weight and 3,500 pounds of tow capacity. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Honda Accord - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on this 2015 Honda Accord we're going to show you part number 24899. This is a Draw-Tite Sportframe Class I 1-1/4" Receiver Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the vehicle. First off, the hitch does sit below the bumper edge right here, so you can see the whole body of the hitch. It does require cutting of the panel if it's existing on your car. This has a square tube body and it also attaches to the tie-down loop right here. From this part down you can see from the hitch and then the rest of the hitch will go up, reach up around the trunk pan and go to the frame. This uses existing holes so there's no drilling required. This hitch is designed to pull a 2,000 pound trailer and it has a 200-pound tongue weight, which means the force pulling down on the hitch. We'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. more
