Recommendation of Turn Signal and Parking Light for Off-road use

Question:

Im interested in purchasing the light # MCL157AB for a front bumper I am building for my 4x4. Before submitting my order, I have a couple of questions: 1. will this light be fully compatible with the 12 volt system of my truck ie. no transformers required? 2. as I will be using these lights for the turn signals, Im curious about the response time. In the video, there seems to be a pause from the time the switch is turned on to when the light actually comes on. I suspect youre using a transformer in the video and that accounts for the delay? I suspect these lights should light immediately once power is supplied? 3. as I offroad this truck, it is susceptible to mud. Would you recommend that I get a closed grommet ie. Code: A56GB? If so, would using a right angle plug Code: A49PB work in this application? In other words, will the light seat properly/fully into the grommet with this plug attached to the back of the light? Looking forward to your response.

I recommend the amber trailer turn signal and parking light # ST70AB as it's sealed and waterproof. The rubber grommet # a70gb will provide shock mount protection extending the life of the lamp.

The Optronics # MCL157AB could possibly be used as a turn signal but not recommended. The grommet you referred # A56GB would work as it will provide shock protection especially that you will be off-road. It will seat properly once the light is plugged into the grommet.

The LED equivalent is amber trailer turn signal and parking light # STL72AB. The light draws 0.275/.042 amps at 12.8 volts.

The Optronics # STL43ABX 4-7/8 inch diameter x 1-5/8 inch deep is a great option as its sealed and waterproof. The right angle 3-wire pigtail # A47PB will provide powered protection for sealed lights.

All of our lights are 12V so they would work with you system. These lights will light up immediately without a delay.

I have included a few videos for you as well.
