The Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack # SA4412B will accept bikes with a wheelbase up to 44-1/2-inches (as measured from the two tire-to-ground contact points). The adjustable cradles on the upright mast will secure your bikes by their down tubes. This rack fits both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch trailer hitch receivers. Your 2009 Honda CR-V could be fitted with either hitch size.
You will want to check your hitch's safety sticker to verify its tongue weight capacity. If you have a light-duty Class I hitch that is rated at 200-lbs tongue weight you cannot transport more than 2 bikes (even if the bike carrier itself can hold 3 or more bikes). Also, if a cargo carrier is ever put into use the weight of the carrier itself plus what you load into it likewise cannot exceed the hitch or the CR-V's tongue weight rating (check your owner's manual for this figure).
The Freedom 2 offers a 35-lbs per bike weight capacity with Class I hitches and is shown in the linked product video.
