Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Honda CR-V

Question:

Hi - Im trying to decide which class 3 hitch to purchase for my 2015 Honda CRV. Can you answer a couple questions? 1 Which hitch Draw Tite, Hidden Hitch and Curt is the receiver most recessed from the edge of the bumper? 2 Which hitch is the main support beam most hidden? 3 Are the Draw-tite and Hidden Hitch identical? 4 Does the Draw-tite and Hidden Hitch diagonal support beams run parallel or lower than the receiver making the bean more noticeable when mounted? Thanks

Expert Reply:

Draw Tite and Hidden Hitches are made by the same company so they are the same.

All of the hitches confirmed to fit your 2015 Honda CRV will be the same distance recessed behind the rear bumper. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper measures 2 inches on all of the hitches.

They all are going to be about the same in terms of visibility. The cross beams of the hitches will be in the same general area on all of the hitches so none of them would be noticeably more hidden than the other.

Since the Curt hitches require the use of a stabilizer strap when used with non-supported loads (like bike racks), I would recommend the Draw-Tite # 75742.
