What Weight Distribution is Best for 2006 Toyota Sienna and How do I Install Brake Controller
Question:
The hitches list weights for the standard and with a weight distribution system, but no link for a WDS. How do I order, what is the appropriate part number? Do you have a video for running the brake controller wiring down the under side of the van?

All the custom fit hitches we offer for the 2006 Toyota Sienna provide 3,500 lbs towing capacity and up to 4,000 - 5,000 lbs with a weight distribution system. A weight distribution system is a special ballmount which has spring bars that attach to the trailer frame. These spring bars work to distribute the trailer load between all axles on the tow vehicle and the trailer which allows the hitch to handle a higher capacity. Please note that you should never tow more than your lowest rated component and you should check your vehicle owner manual to see how much the Sienna is actually rated to tow.
I have added links below our complete selection of weight distribution systems and an FAQ article on them so you can learn more.
We do not have a video of a brake controller installation on a Toyota Sienna, but we do have one on a Honda Odyssey. Not the exact same, but the process will be similar enough that the video should be a big help. I have linked to the video below.
In the video, you will see a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller installed. That controller has be phased out and replaced with the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. It will wire the same way.
