Cheap High Quality Transmission Cooler for a 2002 Acura TL

How do you replace the transmission cooler to a after market on a 2002 Acura?

The coolers that we carry are meant to be supplemental coolers. The factory cooler on many vehicles (with the exception of some trucks, SUVs, and vehicles with factory tow packages) is located inside the radiator. So to replace that cooler you would have to replace the radiator.

Using a cooler such as # D13503 on your 2002 Acura TL will provide additional cooling above and beyond what the factory cooler is capable of. The fluid will go from the transmission, to the factory cooler, then out to the supplemental cooler, and from there return to the transmission.

Since there isn't much space under the hood of your TL I recommend a smaller cooler, # D13502. It is 11 inches wide, 7-1/4 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep. I have included some helpful links on transmission coolers to the right.
