The distance between the mounting holes of the Reese Shank part # RP54970 is 1-1/4 inches and the diameter of the holes is 3/4 of an inch.

While the holes are still spaced 1-1/4" apart for the Reese Weight Dist Shank #RP54970 I do recommend staying with the Blue Ox Shank #BXW4001 The Blue Ox uses a solid shank unlike the Reese which has ears that are not as strong.
