Parts Needed to Add LED Backup Light to Trailer

Hello Etrailer, My 2011 Mercedes ML550 come with factory towing package 7 round plug, my trailer is 4 pin flat, now i would like to add a backup LED light to trailer. What parts do i need to buy, please email asap. Best regards,

Hello, in order to add a LED backup light to your trailer, you could use a setup like the LED Trailer Back Up Light, # BUL52CB, with Rubber Grommet, # a70gb, and Mounting Bracket, # BK70BB.
You will also need a 7-Pole Trailer Connector like the # PK12706 to be able to connect to the 7-way on your 2011 Mercedes-Benz ML550 and additional wire like # 16-1-1, which is sold by the foot, to connect the new backup light.
First you will need to cut the 4 pin flat connector off of the trailer and then wire in the 7 pole trailer connector. I have attached an article which includes wiring diagrams to help with this process. In addition, you will need to run the 16 gauge wire from the center pin of the connector to the new LED backup light.
