To flat tow your 1996 Geo Metro, you'll need a towbar, base plates, safety cables, a method of wiring the vehicle so the taillights of the tow vehicle operate those of the Metro and a supplemental braking system.

The Blue Ox Adventurer you referenced, part # BX7322 would work fine. For a base plate that bolts to the front of the vehicle frame and provides an attachment point for the tow bar, you could use the Blue Ox # BX3507 (as long as your vehicle isn't a GTI model.) For safety cables, I'd recommend # BX88196. To wire your Metro, you have a few alternatives. I'll link you to a help article that lists all the major options and explains the differences between them. Custer makes a wireless option, part # LIW-LDTL that's simple to install and to use. In almost every US state and Canadian province, a supplemental braking system is mandated by law. For ease of installation, use and portability you can't go wrong with the Roadmaster Even Brake, part # RM-9400. There are less expensive braking systems available, but their installation is usually much more involved, taking several hours. If you're not doing the installation yourself, a few hours of shop labor can add up to several hundred dollars.

I'll link you to several of our help articles that will provide more information about flat towing. I'd also encourage you to check with your GM dealer or the owners manual to determine for certain that the vehicle is capable of being flat towed.
