Adding a 2nd Set of Tail Lights to a Keystone Outback 274B

Question:

I have a Keystone Outback 274RB RV trailer. I moved the spare tire to the right so i can use a hitch haul. Now the spare tire blocks the passenger side tail light. Do you have a pair of led turn/stop. backup light kit that i could attach higher above the spare tire and equal distance on the drivers side, by splicing into the existing lights. The goal would be to have the existing lights AND the LED kit you recommend to work at the same time? I am a return Customer. Thx

We have everything that you will need to make something work, but we do not have a kit that was designed for this specific purpose. The factory tail lights that come on the Keystone Outback 274RB do not appear to be LED and we do not carry an LED version of them, so your second set of tail lights may not match the original set. If I were doing this on my trailer, I would want to choose lights that match the existing tail lights as much as possible.

Something like the Optronics Low Profile RV Combination Tail Light, # RVSTL60 (Passenger Side) and # RVSTL61 (Driver's Side), would work if you are okay with the style. This is a surface mount light that would not require much drilling or cutting to install.

Another option would be the Wesbar LED 4 Inch x 6 Inch Low Profile Tail Lights, # 271584 (Passenger Side) and # 271585 (Driver's Side). These are closer in size to your stock lights, but neither pair matches exactly. I have attached a link to all of our tail lights for you to check out.

Once you have the lights, you will just need the wires and hardware to complete the installation. Trailer manufacturers use 16 gauge wire for tail light wiring, so I recommend using an appropriate length of part # 16-1-1 or part # 16-4B-1. You may also want butt connectors, # 05731-5 or quick splice connectors, # SWC502905-1. LED tail lights do not draw very much power, so you will have no problem splicing them into the existing tail light wiring.
