Can a Reese 20K 5th Wheel Hitch Head Be Installed o a Reese Slider Base
Question:
I have a Reese 16 sliding hitch. Can I just put a 20k head on the slider? Or do I have to purchase an entire new slider for 20k?

Expert Reply:
The Reese Slider Base Assembly # RP30048 can be fitted with a 5th wheel hitch head of either 15K, 16K or 20K rating. We also offer the Reese Round Tube Slider # RP50024 that will accept either Reese 16K or 20K hitch head units. The round tube slider will generally deliver superior performance with reduced tendency to bind.
