How to Set the Power Level Knob on a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885
Question:
I just bought a tekonsha prodigy 2 and i hooked it up what am i looking for as far as setting the braking power on the brake controller.am i looking to see if trailer tires lock up do i reduce the power thank you i have ordered from you guys and love the service.

When setting up the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885 for the first time you want to set the power by following these steps.
With engine running hold manual lever and set power knob to indicate 6.0.
Drive 25 mph on a dry level paved surface and fully apply the manual lever.
If the trailer brakes locked up you need to back the power down slightly using the power knob, if the brakes did not lock up then increase the power knob.
Keep repeating until you find a power setting that when the lever is applied the brakes are right before lock-up.
