Parts Needed to Install a Draw Tite Activator Brake Controller in a 2008 Toyota Tundra

Question:

My 2008 Toyota came with a 4 pin connector on the rear bumper but nothing else. It has 2 connectors under the bumper, one to the factory 4 pin plug 82169-0C030, the other connector has nothing on the input or output. If I put in a brake controller in the cab do you have the harness required to run from the cab to this no input or output connector so I can use your Hopkins HM11143395. The hm43385 connectors won't fit the connector under my bumper. Do you think there is a connector in my dash for the brake controller? Where would I look? I have included photo of the connector under my bumper with nothing going in or out that I assume would be for the power and brake lines of the 7 way. My bumper is too high to just use a bumper mounted ball so I will be installing a receiver hitch.

If there was two wires run to the second connector you found under the rear of your 2008 Toyota Tundra then you could install the Hopkins Tow Package Wiring Kit for Toyota Tundra # HM11143395 and then you could use a simple plug in adapter to install a brake controller.

You will need to hardwire your brake controller. For that you will need the Brake Controller Installation Kit 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached an install video and installation instructions for this product as well.

The # ETBC7 comes with everything needed to install the Draw-Tite Brake Controller part # 5504 you referenced in your vehicle.
