Parts Needed to Install Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller in 2015 Dodge Journey
Question:
I am installing wiring on my 2015 Dodge Journey for my camper trailer 7 way. I am using a Tekonsha 118536 kit for the lights. I am buying a Curt Echo wireless controller, from you, Dont I need to have 12V+ at the 2 cavity for the brakes to work?

Expert Reply:
Hey Jeff, so the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180 does require the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way to be active. So in addition to the 4-way kit part # 118536 that you installed you'd also need the 7-way kit part # ETBC7L which comes with a 7-way and wiring needed to activate this circuit.
