Recommended Bike Rack for 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Carrying 3 Bikes
Question:
Can you give me a recommendation for a hitch mounted bike rack? I will be using a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe and will be using the class 3 curt hitch Item C13195. Looking for a rack that can hold at least 3 bikes.

Hi Miles; I would be happy to recommend a hitch for your 2019 Santa Fe with the # C13195. If you're looking for a basic bike rack I would get the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR. This is your standard hanging bike rack that secures your bikes with straps and cradles and has a capacity of 45 lbs per bike. You may also need an adapter like # TH982XT depending on the frames and a lock can be added with the # THSTL2.
If you want something nicer that is more user friendly and does a better job securing your bikes I recommend getting a platform rack like the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 3 Bikes # KU24FR. This bike rack will be much easier to load and use in general. It also includes locks so you won't have to pick them up separately. It has a capacity of 40 lbs per bike and uses a wheel mount so it will work with carbon frames.
Since you said at least 3 bikes it sounds like you may have times where you need it to hold more. The V2 has an optional add-on # KU57FR which will allow you to carry an additional bike for a total of 4.
