Can E-Track Accessories be Inserted Into the Track from the Side
Question:
Hi, Im looking at purchasing the erickson e trac but am curious as to whether there is a wrong way to pull on the rings that clip into the track. Should they only be pulled on in the same direction as there mount or can they be pull on sideways.

Once an accessory is inserted into E-Track you will not be able to pull it out no matter which direction it is being pulled from. This is because of the way it installs in the track.
To use an E-track accessory you will need to insert the item in the slot long ways. So you would push in the little button, fit the bottom of the item in the bottom of the slot, push the item back at the top, then let go of the button. You would not be able to angle it in from the side. Take a look at the video I have linked on a D-ring that is E-track compatible, # E59143.
