Roof Rack Recommendation For A 2017 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome

Question:

Im looking for a roof rack for a Jayco Melbourne Sprinter. The roof is approx 8 ft wide and has rails along the side to which it could be mounted. Do you have anything available in this size. I am looking to mount a 14ft Kayak that weights approx 100 lbs.

Hello Stephen. We do have a potential option for you, but we do not have a roof rack that is specifically made for your application. Not only do we not have anything that wide, but we do not have anything known to be compatible with the OEM rails from Jayco.

The best option for your Jayco motorhome is a drill in track option like # Y02-490B. This will mount to the roof of your motorhome and give you two aero bars to allow you to mount your roof accessories to. These bars have a 220 lb capacity so plenty for a kayak or two.
