Recommended Replacement Water Heater for an Atwood G6A6

I have a 1983 Jamboree with an Atwood G6A6 hot water heater. The hot water tank has a leak, and I am looking for a replacement for the complete heater assembly.

Hey Bruce, I recommend going with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR to replace your Atwood G6A6 water heater. This water heater has a 60,000 btu rating which is quite the step up from what you have currently, is a tankless unit so it'll provide hot water on demand (whenever you need it), and will produce up to 144 gallons of hot water per hour.

You're also going to want to get some butyl tape # AL28FJ for the unit and access door mounting flanges, as well as some sealant # 344270341437-1 on the outer edge of the access door to waterproof the unit.
