Will Curt Hitch Contact 2023 Envision Muffler

Question:

2023 Buick Envision. Bought new. • CURT 2inch hitch installed by U-Haul. • There was a thumping sound at low speeds on bumpy city roads. Passenger side ?. • Dealer ped the muffler saying it was hitting the hitch. But..... thumping sound is still there. • Suggestions as to diagnosing and fixing this problem?

The hitch shouldn't contact the muffler when properly installed. I would take it back to U-Haul and make them fix it if it is making contact. It is a simple installation but perhaps they lowered your exhaust and didn't get everything back in place so it is sitting down on the hitch or just low enough to make contact on those bumpy roads.
