Brake Switch Signal Without Tapping into Factory Wiring On 2021 Toyota Highlander For Brake Control

Question:

I am trying to install a Redarc Tow Pro Liberty on a 2021 Toyota Highlander. I have all wiring complete with exception of the red brake switch wire going into the brake controller. Due to the many very small wires and complicated wiring setup at the brake switch and fear of a voltage feedback that may fry may ECU, I am considering purchase and install of the Redarc encapsulated power diode and tapping that brake wiring at the rear of the Highlander. Do you have any how to video of which wire or how to tap existing brake wiring to correctly install the power diode EPDK-001 into wiring at the back of the car? I would anticipate running another wire from the controller back to the rear where the diode would be installed. Any help is welcomed.

We currently do not have any installation videos for the Redarc Encapsulated Power Diode # RED34FR being used to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR with the Harness # RED69FR and Panel # RED48FR for any vehicles or your 2021 Toyota Highlander. I have included an image of the wiring for the Diode below which shows you are simply connecting to a brake light signal wire to feed the diode.

Another way we find very helpful to resolve not taping into the brake switch is the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch # RM-751000. This attaches to the brake pedal and would keep all your wiring at the front of the vehicle.
