Quick-Connect Brake Controller Harness for Prodigy P2 # 90885 in 2008 Silverado with Tow Package
Question:
I am looking at the Prodigy P2 90885 Brake Controller. Do you have a wiring harness for the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado with trailer package?

In 2007 General Motors stopped including a quick-connect port for trailer brake controllers on their trucks that are equipped with the tow package. Instead of a connection port under the dash to enable use of a quick-connect harness, your Silverado will require a hard-wire installation to the bundled wiring that can be found tucked away under the left side of the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. Please refer to the linked photo.
The wires can be identified by a white label and the color of the wires. The wire colors are (1) Red/Black wire, (1) White wire, (1) Light Blue/White wire and (1) Dark Blue wire and possibly (1) Orange wire. These wires (except for the orange one) will connect to the leads on the pigtail harness included with the P2. Here are the wire-to-wire connections to be made:
GM Wire to Brake Control Wire Connections
Red/Black to Black
White to White
Light Blue/White to Red
Dark Blue to Blue
The linked article gives you photos and step-by-step instructions, which include some final connections required in the engine compartment.
