Recommended Hitch for a 2024 Hyundai Palisade
Question:
My 2024 Hyundai Palisade did not come with the towing package. I would like to add a hitch and wiring harness to tow a small uhaul trailer across the country. Could you recommend the parts I will need?

Congrats on the new SUV, I would be happy to recommend those parts! To add a hitch to your 2024 Hyundai Palisade, I recommend the etrailer item # e95ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Hyundai with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight so it will have plenty of ability to pull a uhaul trailer.
Uhaul trailer's use 4-ways to control the lighting functions. To add one to your Palisade you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C43FV. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Hyundai's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights.
I have linked a couple of installation videos below to help you get these parts set up.
To round out your towing setup, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
