Blue Ox does not offer a custom fit flat tow wiring kit for your 2009 Jeep Patriot so your best option would be a diode kit like the Roadmaster part # RM-15267 which although does require some splicing into your vehicle wiring will work extremely well and be very reliable unlike some of of the more custom fit options.
