Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox
Question:
I have a 2012 Equinox, but I have the bolt pattern of the install video on your web site for the 2013 Equinox. Is that possible? I want to buy the correct hitch for my vehicle so I need your help. Thanks

All of the trailer hitches that fit the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox fit the 2012 Equinox because they have the same trailer hitch bolt pattern on the frame rails. We have several different trailer hitch options for your 2012 Equinox, so I attached a link to all of them for you to check out.
The trailer hitch that I recommend is the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13591. This hitch will save you some money over the Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch Class III trailer hitches without sacrificing any quality. I use a Curt hitch on my vehicle and it works great. We have installed this hitch on a 2012 and a 2013 Equinox, so I attached both installation videos for you to check out and compare.
If you plan on doing any towing, then you may also want to pickup the Curt T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness, # 56094, and the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit, # 989900. The ball mount kit includes two ball mounts with different rises and drops, 2 hitch balls, a pin and clip and a storage bag so you do not lose any pieces.
If you are interested in any bike racks or cargo carriers, let me know what you are looking for and I would be happy to give you some options and recommendations.
