Best Ski Carrier For A 2016 Nissan Rogue With Limited Clearance Between Roof And Crossbars

The Rhino Rack aero crossbar kit for 2016 Nissan Rogue naked roof has pretty tight clearance between the roof and rear bar. Is there a specific ski rack that will clamp properly to this crossbar? I have a Yakima 4-pair ski rack that normally clamps to crossbars, but the clamps on that rack are too thick to fit around the rhino rack kit for the nissan rogue. Id like to buy a different rack, but I want to be sure to get one that will fit.

Since the clearance between the roof and crossbars on your 2016 Nissan Rogue is so limited, your best bet will be to go with a ski rack that mounts into the top channel on the Rhino Rack Aero bars. For that we recommend the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # RR574. This can hold 4 pairs of skis or two snowboards. It comes with T-bolts which can be used to mount the carrier directly to the top channel on the crossbars. This way it will not take up any space underneath the crossbar.
