Thanks for the info! We have a couple of options to convert your Lippert 1116 pin box to a gooseneck. Which one you need is going to depend on your 5th wheel trailers tongue weight and capacity. I have listed them below you will want to select the one closest to your tongue weight but not below:
3,500 lbs - 21,000 lbs Capacity Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY43FR
4,500 lbs - 25,000 lbs Capacity Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY48FR
5,500 lbs - 25,000 lbs Capacity Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box item # GY73FR
You will also need the Safety Chain with 2 Hooks for Gen-Y 5th Wheel to Gooseneck item # GY49GR. This safety chain is specifically designed to work with Gen-Y Hitch fifth-wheel-to-gooseneck pin boxes. It is also legally required when using a gooseneck connection.
