What Battery Type & Quantity are Required To Operate the Redarc Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter?
Question:
What kind and how many RV batteries are needed to power this inverter?
asked by: Rocky P
Helpful Expert Reply:
With the Redarc Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # RED55RR on your RV you will want to use deep cycle batteries preferably lithium which can handle being discharged and recharged constantly. The amount of batteries you use will depend greatly on what all you wish to be able to use off the inverter and the amount of time it will need to be used.
As an example the Go Power Lithium RV Battery # GP99QR will have a maximum of 1,200 watt hours of power to offer the inverter. So if the inverter were to draw the rated 2,000 watts of power it would deplete the battery in 36 minutes. You can use this example to determine how many of the batteries you will need to supply enough wattage for the time you are needing. If you need help please let me know how much wattage your accessories require and the amount of time you will need to have the batteries supply between charges.
