Can the 4" Roller on the CE Smith Keel Roller Assembly Be Replaced and Secured Using a Nut and Bolt
Question:
Currently have this product on an older trailer the 4inch rubber roller isnt in the best shape. Is this part replaceable by popping off the caps and purchsing a new 4inch roller and using a long bolt and nut instead?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can replace the roller on the CE Smith Keel Roller Assembly # CE32005G by popping off the cap nuts and removing the roller shaft.
However, I would not recommend using a long bolt and nut. You will want to use the Roller Shaft with Pal Nuts for Boat Trailer Rollers # CE10700A to ensure that everything rolls smoothly.
The Boat Trailer 4" Long Spool Roller # DL21566 will provide a 4" roller replacement.
