How to Determine Correct Axle, Hubs, & Leaf Springs
Question:
I need to replace the suspension on my Pacific tandem axle boat trailer. I have the model number and rough measurements of the springs, axle, and u-bolts. Is there some guidance available to parts? I need the full suspension and four hubs. Thank you.

There's going to be a lot of measurements needed for replacing the axle, leaf springs, and hubs on your boat trailer. There isn't a way we have to look anything up based on model number which is why the measurements are the only way to do this.
Starting with the axle, to choose the correct replacement axle for your trailer you will need to know the dimensions of your current axle's hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center; I have added a link below to a video which walks you through how to measure. The other thing you need to know is the weight capacity of the axle you need, which should match or exceed the GVWR of your trailer.
For example, the Dexter Trailer Axle # 7359765 has a 3,500 lb capacity and measures 95 inches from hub face to hub face and 80 inches from spring center to spring center. For U-bolts that fit this axle you'd use # CE23002. I've added a link below to our selection of axles for you which you can filter through by length.
The spindle on the axle is what will determine the hub you need. The aforementioned 3,500 lb axle uses inner bearing L68149 and outer bearing L44649 so you'd use a hub with those bearings, the 3,500 lb Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K.
Finally, for leaf springs, just measure your current leaf springs from center-to-center of the spring eyes (for this you also need to know the weight rating of your axle). Leaf springs also flatten a bit over time, so you should go with ones that measure a bit shorter than what you currently have. For example, if you need 3,500 lb leaf springs and they measured 26-3/4" go with the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 27" Long # e97SR.
I've added a link below to our entire selection of axles, U-bolt kits, leaf springs, and hubs which you can filter through by the appropriate lengths and capacity.
