Recommendation for a Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for 3 Bikes on a 2008 Subaru Tribeca with Spoiler

Im looking for a rear door/trunk mount rack to carry three bikes. I have a spoiler on my 2008 Subaru Tribeca. Can you tell me the best options out there? Im not looking to spend more than $200. Thanks

When looking to carry three bikes on your 2008 Subaru Tribeca, I would recommend the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Carrier for Vehicles with Spoilers, # HRF2-3. I called and spoke with my contact at Hollywood Racks to ensure this model would work well with your vehicle. The price is a little bit higher than what you were looking to spend but it is the most economical way to safely carry your bikes and this is the only trunk mount rack that I would recommend for your vehicle due to it having a spoiler.

A traditional trunk mount bike rack is not recommended for your Tribeca due to the spoiler. Trunk mount bike racks require two straps to hook to the top edge of a trunk or rear hatch. These straps will put the weight of the bike rack and bikes on the spoiler which could deform or damage the spoiler over time. The Over-the-Top bike rack routes the straps over the spoiler so they are not supporting additional weight.

If you will be carrying any womens, childrens or alternative frame bikes, I recommend picking up the Hollywood Bike Frame Adapter Bar, # HRBA-PRO. Bikes with small or angled frames can be difficult to load on hanging style bike racks and they can cause ground clearance issues. This adapter will allow you to load the bikes easily and safely.
