Is Curt Towing Starter Kit a Good Choice for a 2019 Kia Sorento
Question:
Greetings. I am a returning customer and recently purchased a trailer hitch and wiring kit for my 2019 Kia Sorento 6 cyl. EX with AWD. Question. I do not have a trailer yet, but will be purchasing one soon. Should I wait until such time before ordering a Curt Towing Starter Kit or can I order now and which rise and drop would be appropriate, i.e., 3/4 inch rise and 2 inch drop or 2 inch rise and 4 inch drop. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for your purchase of the Draw-Tite Hitch # 75908 and T-One Wiring # 118269 for your 2019 Kia Sorento!
The Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches # C45534 is one of my favorite kits because it works for a good amount of towing setups that you'll see out on the road. If you were planning on towing eventually with your vehicle but didn't have a timeframe then this is a great option to get.
Since you'll be purchasing a trailer soon though, I highly recommend either checking with the trailer manufacturer or dealer to see what the coupler height is, or waiting until you have the trailer so you can take this measurement yourself - this way we know we have the best ball mount height for the towing rig.
Once you know the coupler height for your trailer you can either reference the linked article or let me know what you found out and I can help you filter through our selection!
