Recommended Trunk Bike Rack For A 2018 Mazda CX-5
Question:
Hello. I have a 2018 Mazda CX-5, no hitch. Need to carry 2 medium frame 27.5 mountain Bikes. Which do you recommend, Yakima Fullback 2 or Thule Outway 2? Thanks for your advice.

For you I do recommend the Yakima Fullback 2 # Y02634. Especially for medium size mountain bikes it will work out nicely. It is very easy to adjust and keep your bikes level. Once you have it fitted to your car, it is easy to put on and take off. It has a built in cable lock for added security. All of the Yakima racks also have a built in bottle opener, so you can open your cold beverages after a long ride.
Nothing at all against the Thule Outway # TH65JV, it is a very cool rack, but it can be a bit of a hassle to set up and take down. You also cannot use the rear wiper with the Thule Outway installed. I do feel that the Yakima rack would be a better option in this case.
