Can The Jack-It 2 Bike Rack Hold An E-Bike Heavier Than 80lbs If You Only Haul One Bike

We have 2 ebikes. I am sure they would be over 80 pounds for both. Could we put 1 ebike on, which is under 80 pounds or is the 80 pounds based on distribution of 40/40 on each rack?

No, the capacity of the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756 is 80lbs total (40lbs per bike) so you could end up braking the mounting points for the bike off of the rack if you exceeded its capacity. During travel you should always remove the battery from an e-bike, which can greatly reduce the weight of the bike. If you haven't weighed you bike without the battery I recommend doing so first to ensure we have an accurate weight to work from.
