2007 gmc newbody style Where would I find a wire or circuit to tap into, for 3rd brake light on a truck canopy

There is a wire bundle under the dash, to the left of the steering column on your 2007 GMC Sierra new body style truck. It is a tow package wire bundle held together with a white tag, see picture. The white tag lists the functions of the wires. The orange wire should be labeled CHMSL for center high mount stop light. You can use this wire as a third brake light wire for the camper shell.

A place that installs camper shells may know of a wire you could use under the truck bed.
