Recommended Wiring Harness for a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

Question:

Hello. I am looking for a wiring harness for my 2023 Mitsubishi OUTLANDER PHEV. On Curt Mit freundlichen Grüßen Website, they list Model 56434. Trailer lists 59236 and 59496. Which is correct and are there any install videos for this car regarding the hitch or wiring. Thanks

The only wiring that is compatible with the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter item # C59496 and the ZCI Wiring Kit item # 119250KIT. Both of these are universal options. I checked with our vendor no one has made a custom fit wiring harness as of 7/16/23.

I can't speak for a German website, might be a typo in your question, but our Curt T-Connector item # C56434 fits a 2020 - 2023 Toyota RAV4 and item # C59236 does not work with the PHEV models.

The Curt wiring harness splices into your factory wiring while the ZCI uses clamps to sense when to send power back to the trailer lights. Both wiring kits are designed to be used with 12V power. I recommend going with the ZCI Wiring Kit item # 119250KIT. I wouldn't feel too comfortable cutting wires on a brand new car.

We do not have an installation video for either harness. I have linked the installation instructions below.

It looks like the only hitch available for the PHEV Outlander is the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C86FV. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Mitsubishi with included hardware.

We haven't had the opportunity to get one of these vehicles in our shop so I am sorry to say there are no videos.

To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
