Does The 7-Way on a 2014 Rockwood Mini Lite 2306 Travel Trailer Have an Inline Charge Controller?
Question:
2014 Rockwood Mini Lite model 2306 My trailer charges just great via 7 way plug while towing, my question is does the trailer have any charge controller to prevent overcharging via 7 way? Setting up a solar system to charge via 7 way and trying to determine if a solar charge controller will be needed?

Your 2014 Rockwood Mini Lite 2306 is not going to have any type of charge controller in the 7-way wiring. When connected to your tow vehicle your vehicle charging system is regulating the amount of voltage generated which is sent to the vehicle battery and your trailer battery.
It sounds like you are wanting to use a portable solar panel like the Go Power # 34282730 to charge the battery either while it is in storage or if you are camping off-grid with no power. These panels will have a charge controller built in so while you could run it through the 7-way, I recommend connecting directly to the battery so you do not risk overheating any of the wiring on the 7-way depending on the size of panel you end up using.
