What Options Are There For Carrying Two Trikes
Question:
Hello, I am trying to find a way to transport two identical Catrike ECat bikes. The bikes weigh 55 pounds without the battery. I have a Subaru Assent and a Honda Ridgeline pickup truck. Both have 2 inch receivers. I currently carry them vertically on a Hitchrider trike rack but it involves lifting the trikes above my shoulders to mount them. I hoping for some kind of lightweight trailer/rack combination that I can easily store in the back of my garage. Thanks for any ideas you may have.

To be completely honest, we do not have a great option. The trike rack market is not a very friendly one. We can sometimes find solutions for a single trike, but 2 trikes is difficult.
While not a great solution, the only real option we have would be a trailer like the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6, but it is not going to store easily in the back of your garage, unless you have an extra deep garage.
