Recommended Suspension Enhancement for a 2023 Ford F-150

Question:

I just bought a 23 for f150 3.5 ecoboost 4x4. I hate the rake in the truck and want to do a 2 level on it but my wife does tow a 2 horse trailer about 8 times a year. Im looking for the best idea to help with rear sag especially with a 2 level installed. I dont want the ride quality to suffer when empty since it will be driven that way 95 of the time. Thanks.

The least invasive suspension enhancement option for your 2023 Ford F-150 is going to be the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs item # SS53UV. These have a 3,000 lbs load leveling capacity. They're made of a two piece system that only engages when you have weight on the rear end of your truck.

For your 95% daily driving time you won't notice them. If you're just lifting the front of the truck to get the rake out these will work perfectly. Any more than an 1" in the back and you're going to lose the effectiveness of this system.

Another solution would be a weight distribution system. This would keep your rear end from sagging and not be a permanent addition to your truck. It wouldn't be affected by a lift, it would help combat trailer sway, and make towing more pleasant. I would be happy to make a recommendation, I just need to know your horse trailer's total weight. Weight distribution systems are rated off of tongue weight which is typically between 10% and 15% of the trailer's total weight.
