Recommended Hitch for a 2021 Grand Cherokee L w/ a Full Size Spare Tire
Question:
Does this hitch #C97JR fit my 2021 Grand Cherokee L with the factory Trailer Tow Prep Group package with full size spare tire? Will the full size 18inch spare tire be able to be mounted under the truck as normal after the C97JR hitch is installed? Im confused bc in the QandA for the C96NR hitch also recommended for 2021 GC L one of the eTrailer experts says that there isnt a hitch made for this truck that will allow for a full size spare to be mounted after the hitch is installed. Thanks for your help!

The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C97JR will allow the 18" full size spare tire to fit under your 2021 Grand Cherokee L. I have linked an installation video below that shows the hitch being installed with a full size spare.
The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C96NR doesn't work with the full size spares just the donuts. This hitch was most likely the only one available when that question you saw was answered.
