Recommended Bike Rack for a Flat Towed Vehicle Hauling 2 Heavy Bikes With Fenders

Question:

Hello, Im not sure the message I just wrote was actually sent so Im trying again. We need help in figuring out how to haul our bikes while pulling a short travel trailer. The trailer is a Grand Design 15RB single axle Total length 19-11 Hitch weight 378 lbs. The trailer has a factory installed class 1 hitch on the rear. We will pull it with a Chevy Traverse. Our bikes weigh a total of 105 lbs and they have fenders. We presently have a Hyperax Volt RV approved bike rack from when we owned a motorhome. Rack weight is 38 lbs. Can you give us some options? Thanks,

I'm not sure what you have on the back of your Traverse but I am going to assume you have a 2" receiver as that's pretty standard amongst mid-sized & larger SUVs.

If that's the case, the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY64FR is an excellent option.

This bike rack has a maximum capacity of 80 lbs per bike for a 160 lb total, will work with bikes that have fenders, and can be used on the back of your flat towed vehicle.
