Why Can't Trailer Axles Actually be Flipped
Question:
I have axle with 4 inch drop spins facing up with underslung leaf springs with the arch/ camber facing up like a rainbow ?? or a frown ??. I have about 3 to 4 inches clearance at U bolts and axle now which is no where near enough. I can achieve 4 ish inches with over under kit . Question, can I flip axle with 4 inch spins facing down and achieve same thing ? Or would camber be wrong and cause damage ? Hoping you can help ? Thank you very much

You have to use an over under kit to gain the additional height you are after. Due to the bow in the axle that you mentioned you can't just rotate the axles 180 degrees as the camber would be way off. I don't know what diameter axle your trailer has but if it's 3 inch you'd want the over under kit part # K71-385-00 or if it's 2-3/8 inch we have the # K71-384-00.
