I want to use the 1600 pound hitch but can only fit a 2 inch shank can I use the shank from my equalizer hitch now with the head unit from the new 1600 equalizer on my equalizer shank which is a 2 inch

Yes, you can use your current Equalizer hitch shank that fits 2 inch hitches with the 1,600 lb tongue weight Equalizer kit part # EQ64FR and you'd be totally fine.
