Do I need a transfer switch when I up grade 30 amp to 50 amp? I plan on using the distribution center you recommended.

Yes you are going to need a transfer switch if you plan on using more than one AC power source on your RV. For instance, if you're plugged into shore power and would also like to use a generator, then you'd want to use the Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch # 34270278.
