Are There 1/2" Wet Bolts for an EZ Loader Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 1998-99 ezloader Triton bass boat trailer I’m wanting to put a wet bolt kit on. Are my bolts 1/2” where the new ones are 9/16”? Can you recommend a wet bolt kit that will fit? Thanks

Expert Reply:

The standard size of eye bolt for a trailer is 9/16". This is only 1/16" of an larger than what you said you have, 1/2" so there could be an error in measuring or this could also be a very oddball application. That said, if the leaf springs (with bushing removed) have an inner diameter of 11/16" it does not matter what size bolts you have and can upgrade to the Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit for Tandem-Axle Trailers part # K71-359-00.

However, we don't offer 1/2" wet bolts.
